A working manager across both sides of the laboratory. On the bench: haematology, blood banking, biochemistry, microbiology and histology, through to authorising and issuing validated results. In management: quality control and accreditation against national standards, document control and audit readiness, reagent and equipment procurement, and the supervision and training of a multidisciplinary team.
Research focus
Plakin protein expression in epithelial ovarian cancer — its bearing on metastatic spread and epithelial–mesenchymal transition. Seven years of doctoral research at the Fiona Elsey Cancer Research Institute, Ballarat.
